David Wardlaw Moore, III, 83, of Macungie, died Nov. 19, 2013 in Lehigh Valley Hospital Inpatient Hospice. He was the widower of Gertrude (Smith) Moore. Born in Savannah, GA, he was the son of the late David W. Moore, Jr. and Gladys (Shields) and Arthur Byrd. He was a proud graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. He honorably served his country as a Major in the Army for 14 years. He worked as a Purchasing Manager for Air Products and Chemicals for over 20 years and retired from Acme Cryogenics in 2002. He was a member of the West Point Association of Graduates and the Crispin Band of Brothers.

Loving Companion Barbara MacLachlan; Sons, David W. Moore, IV and wife Daniela and Kevin Moore and wife Dannielle; Daughters, Cynthia Beers, Darla wife of Marv Berkowitz, and Mary wife of Dan McCormick; Half Brother, Reuben Byrd; 10 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren. He was predeceased by Half Brother William Byrd.
