Eileen S. Bitting, 77, Retired Day-Timers Employee

Eileen S. Bitting, 77, of Allentown, died December 18, 2013.

Eileen S. Bitting, 77, of Allentown, died December 18, 2013 in Lehigh Valley Hospital. She was the wife of Donald R. Bitting, with whom she celebrated 57 1/2 years of marriage. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Mahlon P. and Cecilia A. (Deysher) Schuler. She was a 1954 graduate of Emmaus High School and served on the reunion committee. She was employed by Day-Timers for 25 years, retiring in 1996. She was a member of Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church and was a member of the Sears Retiree Organization.  

Survivors
Husband, Donald Bitting; Son, Dwight D. Bitting and wife Cheryl of Coplay; Grandchildren, Blake, Justin, and Kaela and Great Granddaughter, Jocelyn Gehris.  She was predeceased by a daughter, Carol L. Bitting and Sisters, Eleanor Bortz, Mabel Krause, Margaret Stimmel, Florence Kiess, and Lorraine Fegely. 

Services
Funeral Service Monday, Dec. 23, 2013 at 2 p.m. in Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church, 3441 Devonshire Road, Allentown, PA 18103. Viewing 1 to 2 p.m. in the church. Interment will follow in Western Salisbury Cemetery. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church Memorial Fund.
