Rodney F. "Rocky" Beitler, 82, Served During Korean War

Rodney F. "Rocky" Beitler, 82, of Allentown, died Nov. 2, 2013.

Rodney F. “Rocky” Beitler, 82, of Allentown, died Nov. 2, 2013 in his residence.  He was the husband of MaryLou (Person) Beitler. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Russell and Erma (Hillegas) Beitler. He worked for Mack Trucks, Inc. for 32 ½ years, retiring in 1987. He was a life member of the Macungie VFW and the Fearless Fire Co., Allentown. He was involved with the Allentown Crime Watch, Cushman Club of America, Vintage Motorcycle Club, Southeastern Cushman Club, and the Mid-Ohio Motorcycle Club. He honorably served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed carpentry, flea markets, and working with small engines. 

Survivors
Wife; Sons, Ronald Rodney Beitler and wife Donna of East Texas and Randy L. Beitler of Allentown; Sister, Joan Mann of Allentown; Grandchildren, Ronald W., Shannon M., and Robert R.; Great Grandson, Jack. He was predeceased by a brother, Dale G. Beitler. 

Services
Funeral Services private at the convenience of the family. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
