Services Announced For Jaindl Family Member Killed In Car Crash

James Leuthe, 69, died Tuesday, March 29.

James L. Leuthe, 69, of Allentown, died Tuesday evening, March 29, 2011, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township.

He was the husband of Catherine Jaindl-Leuthe. The couple celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary this past January 19.

Born in Scranton, March 2, 1942, Jim was the son of Dolores (Merkel) Leuthe Bray of Collegeville, formerly of Mill City, and the late George J. Leuthe, Sr. He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Jim was the President of Midland Farms, Inc. a land holding company in Danielsville. He owned Robyn Realty and Nikki, Inc., land development firms and DeVille Blouse Co. of Danielsville. His partnerships in business include MJL Realty, LURRS, Lehigh Engineering Assoc. Inc. and Wilson Park.

He previously served on The Board of Directors of Diamond Manufacturing of Wyoming, First Security Investments of Kingston, The Bethlehem Corporation, GTS Trucking and Garrett Manufacturing. He served as Chairman of the Board of First Lehigh Bank.

Jim was actively involved in helping many charities including Cystic Fibrosis and the Miracle League of the Lehigh Valley. Jim was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield, The Pennsylvania Society and the Lehigh Country Club.

Jim will always be remembered as a friend who was there to help a friend in need. He saw the best in people even when the situation was difficult. He was an avid fisherman who particularly loved deep-sea fishing with his sons.  Jimmy enjoyed cooking and being surrounded by his family and friends.  

Survivors:  In addition to his wife, Catherine and his mother, Dolores; children, Robyn J., wife of Dean Norris of Los Angeles, California, Nicole M. Leuthe of Allentown, Mark J. Leuthe and his wife, Kristy of Allentown, Matthew J. Leuthe of Los Angeles, California, Ericka L. Leuthe at home; sisters, Jane M. Ayers of Milwaukee, Dee Dee Leuthe Reigh of King of Prussia; grandchildren, Ryan, Olivia, Ava and Michael; nieces and nephews.  Jim is also survived by Pam Capobianco Leuthe. Jim was predeceased by siblings, Peggy Dunn Miles and George J. Leuthe, Jr.  

Service: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2011 at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, 1879 Applewood Drive, Orefield with the Rev. Msgr. Robert J. Wargo as Celebrant. Family and friends may pay their respects from 9 – 11 a.m. Saturday in the church vestibule.  Interment will follow the service at Resurrection Cemetery, Wescosville.   The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., in Schnecksville is in charge of arrangements. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com   

Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cystic Fibrosis, (N.E. Chapter) , The Miracle League of the Lehigh Valley or  The Children’s Home of Easton all in care of the funeral home,  P.O. Box # 196, Schnecksville,  PA  18078-0196.
