Suzanne E. Meitzler, 66, of Macungie, died October 30, 2013

Suzanne E. Meitzler, 66, of Macungie, died October 30, 2013 in Lehigh Valley Hospital. She was the wife of Larry C. Meitzler, with whom she would have celebrated 45 years of marriage on Nov. 23, 2013. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Paul H. and Ruth I. (Jacoby) Knepper. She was a 1965 graduate of Emmaus High School and a 1968 graduate of Penn State University.  She taught in the Reading School District from 1968 to 1972, was the owner of the former Candlewick Candle Shop in Wyomissing, worked for the United States Post office in Trexlertown and served as Post Master at the Lenhartsville Post Office, taught ESL in the Allentown School District for 17 years and retired from Parkland School District. She was a member of St. John’s U.C.C., Emmaus.

Survivors
Husband; Daughter, Elisa A. wife of Kenneth Highley of Breinigsville; Sister, Terry L. wife of Paul Ryan of Orefield; Granddaughter, Emma; Niece, Helen Ryan. 

Services
Funeral Services Sat., Nov. 2, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Friends may call 9 to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.  Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Allentown. Online condolences may be made to www.schantzfh.com
