Seniors Report Thefts at Lower Mac Retirement Facility
Money is taken from inside furniture in elderly residents' rooms, police say.
Two residents of a Lower Macungie Township retirement village recently reported that they had money stolen from inside furniture in their rooms, according to police.
The first was a theft of $37 reported by Henry Klusaritz from his wallet in a desk drawer in his room at the , 6488 Alburtis Road, according to . The theft occurred between June 1 and 6.
In the second reported theft, the wallet of Irving Pryor was stolen from a nightstand in his room either June 14 or 15, police said. The loss involved $150, the wallet valued at $20 and $1 for a checkbook with checks.
