3 Teens Charged in Violent Home Invasion

Three teenage boys are being charged as adults in a home invasion in which a gun was fired and a backpack full of marijuana stolen, according to state police.

Three young men are in Lehigh County Prison following a violent home invasion on Elbow Lane in Lower Macungie Township on May 29.

The teens, who have been charged as adults with robbery, aggravated assault, simple assault, criminal conspiracy, theft and receiving stolen property, are:

  • Isaiah Jean-Pierre, 17, of Alburtis
  • Vincent McNamara, 16, of Lower Macungie
  • Mustafa Qureshi, 15, of Lower Macungie

Police say the three teens went to the house in Lower Macungie to buy marijuana at about 4:30 p.m. They confronted three teenage boys and demanded money from them in a garage attached to the house.

Jean-Pierre pulled a handgun and fire a shot at one of the boys in the garage, according to police. The shot was loud enough for neighbors to hear. Jean-Pierre also hit one of the boys in the face with the butt end of the handgun, causing a cut lip and concussion, police said. The victim was treated at a hospital emergency room.

The defendents stole a backpack full of marijuana from the garage, police said.

The victims identified the defendents via Emmaus High School yearbook photos, according to an affidavit filed by state Trooper Gregg Dietz of the Fogelsville barracks.

A backpack containing marijuana and a gun were found in Lock Ridge Park in Alburtis, according to a Morning Call report.

Police interviewed the three people who found the backpack. They said they knew the backpack would be at the park because Jean-Pierre had sold them marijuana in the same spot in the past and they knew he would not be back for it since he had been picked up by police.
