$5,000 Glassware Theft Highlights Lower Macungie Incidents

State police release recent reports. Those accused are innocent until proven guilty.

The following incidents involving Lower Macungie Township were reported recently by:

Theft - Reported Nov. 6 by John Wright of Stroudsburg, Monroe County; several boxes containing crystal glassware were taken between Oct. 15 and Nov. 6 during an eviction process from 4773 Steeplechase Drive, police said; $5,000 estimated value.

Criminal mischief - Reported Nov. 14 by Melissa Sue Kleckner at 5695 N. Wlanut St.; driver's side car window cracked when someone struck it with an object at the home, police said; no value given.

Harassment - Reported Nov. 14 by Hans Hoppe of 1190 Grange Road E5; harassing phone calls received from former friend, police said.

Theft - Reported Nov. 16 by BBEC Inc. of Mechanicsburg, Cumberland County; telephone wire and a hot box were taken from an unsecured trailer, police said; no value given; call police at 610-395-1438 to report information.

Criminal mischief - Reported Nov. 5 by a 17-year-old boy at 7582 Quarry Road; tires were slashed, police said; no value given.

Hit and run - Reported Nov. 2 at Mountain and Schoeneck roads; large wooden shed sideswiped and stop sign bent; tire marks indicate offending vehicle could be a large semi- or utility trailer, police said.

Criminal mischief - Reported Nov. 24 by a 34-year-old woman in the 5600 block of Indian Creek Road; BB pellet damaged window glass, screen and blind, police said; no value given.
