A Roommate Remembers Her Slain Friend

Better days were full of people and animals Jennifer Snyder loved best.

In better days, Jennifer Snyder's life was full of friends she loved, a job she loved and animals she loved.

But the 27-year-old vet tech was found dead Friday, her bullet-ridden body left in a wooded area in North Whitehall Township near the Trexler Game Preserve.

David Rapoport, 30, has been accused of her death. He was arraigned Tuesday and is being held in Lehigh County Prison without bail. A Lansdale resident, Rapoport met Snyder when they both worked at the Maple Hills Veterinary Hospital in Lower Macungie Township where Snyder worked until her death. Rapoport left about a year ago to work closer to his home.

Roommate Hilary Schiavone had known Snyder for several years, though it was only a few months ago that the two moved into an apartment attached to the animal hospital.

Photos supplied by Schiavone show the two women and their friends in happier days.
