Update: Alburtis Teen Killed in ATV Mishap

He was found by his friend.

A 17-year-old boy from Alburtis was killed Sunday in the 2000 block of Woodbine Street in North Whitehall Township.

Tyler Stair of 322 Avi Drive lost control of an ATV on a wet road and traveled down an embankment between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The ATV then rolled onto him, police said.

The boy was found by a friend approximately 45 minutes later, police said, and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lehigh County Deputy Coroner Craig Hanzl.

Hanzl ruled the cause of death to be traumatic positional asphyxiation, and the manner was an accident.

Stair was not wearing a helmet, police said.
