Alleged Drunk Driver Hits Berks-Lehigh Police Cruiser

State Police stopped a Lower Macungie man after he had hit a Berks-Lehigh Regional police car and drove the wrong way on Route 100.

A Lower Macungie man, allegedly driving while drunk, hit a cruiser Saturday near the in Upper Macungie, The Morning Call reports.

The police car had its lights on and was transporting another alleged drunk driver.

Christopher M. Nobile, 43, fled the scene into Lower Macungie, according to the report, where state police spotted him, going the wrong way on Route 100.

He was taken to Lehigh County Central Booking where his blood was drawn, and later released after posting $25,000 bail.
