Armed Robbery Reported at Lower Mac Walgreens
Robber shows handgun, receives unknown amount of cash in holdup of Lower Macungie drugstore, according to scanner reports.
A man showing a dark-colored semi-automatic handgun held up the Walgreens in Lower Macungie Township on Sunday night, according to police scanner reports.
The man was described as black, wearing a purple hoodie with white stripes on the sleeves, gray jeans and with a black bandana over his face. He showed the handgun and received an unknown amount of money, according to the scanner bulletin released by state police at Fogelsville.
The bulletin said police suspect that the man ran outside to a waiting vehicle, but no vehicle was seen to obtain a description or direction of escape.

The armed robbery was reported about 8:45 p.m., according to police.
