Burglar Makes Off with Lower Mac Man's Lockbox, Police Say

Security box contained important papers, but there was no report of additional valuables, troopers say.

Pretty much everyone recommends them: Put those important papers -- such as Wills and life insurance policies -- in a lockbox.

It makes perfect sense. Those critical documents would be in a private but  central location in your home. Spend a few extra bucks and the lockbox can be fire-proof as well.

The only problem would be, what would happen if someone would walk off with your lockbox?

That's exactly what happened recently in a Lower Macungie Township burglary, according to state police at Fogelsville.

Roberto Guerrero of 1119 Pine Grove Circle reported that someone entered his residence between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Dec. 26 and took the box, which contained unspecified identification papers, police said. It is unknown whether someone was after the papers or thought there were additional items of value.
