It's not quite a case of "man bites dog," but it's close.

An accident between two drivers in Lower Macungie on Thursday just kind of has that ring to it as a bicyclist ran into a car, according to police.

The trouble began when a red Chevrolet sedan passed bicyclist Andrew Joseph Bernstein, 25, of 14 S. Fourth St., Emmaus, about 1:10 p.m., according to . The car came to a sudden stop in the area of 4571 Indian Creek Road. Bernstein was unable to stop and ran into the back of the car.

The car received minor damage to its right rear side as a result, police said. The bicycle also received minor damage. But for some reason, the driver of the car drove off without exchanging information with Bernstein.

Neither driver was injured, police said. And, Bernstein was able to ride away as well.

Police ask that anyone with information call them at 610-395-1438.
