Corvette Damaged When It Hits Curb on Lower Mac Road

Lancaster County driver not hurt but cited following Schoeneck Road mishap, police say.

A Lancaster County man wasn't hurt but he caused heavy front-end damage to his 2001 Chevrolet Corvette when he drove it into a curb last week on Schoeneck Road in Lower Macungie Township.

State police at Fogelsville said James Everly of Mount Joy -- who turned 59 on Saturday -- was driving the Corvette south on Schoeneck Road at 9:26am Nov. 5 when the sports car crossed the double yellow line and struck a curb on the east side of the road.

The Corvette came to rest facing east on the left shoulder, partly blocking the northbound lane, police said.

Everly was charged with violating traffic laws governing driving at safe speed and driving on roadways laned for traffic, according to online court records. His car was towed by Getz Towing.
