Dark-Colored Vehicle Rear-Ends Car, Keeps Going
State police looking for offending vehicle in Lower Macungie hit-and-run.
State police are looking for a dark-colored vehicle involved in a hit-and-run crash Friday night in Lower Macungie.
A state police fax said the vehicle rear-ended a car parked on a road shoulder in front of the 1700 block of Aster Road in the Ancient Oak West development.
The unknown vehicle kept going east on Aster without stopping to consult the other driver -- Brett W. Roth, 29, of Macungie, who was not hurt.
Roth was driving a 1989 Mercury Topaz. All he could say about the vehicle that rear-ended his car is that it was dark in color. He could not tell police anything about the vehicle make or model.
The fax said the offending vehicle was east on Aster about 11:20pm and was trying to handle a left curve in the road when its front bumper struck the Topaz's right rear bumper.
