Drug Charges Stem from Glove-Box Find, Police Say

Emmaus driver stopped for driving 78 in a 40-mph zone in Lower Macungie is found with marijuana, troopers report.

As if getting pinched for driving 78 mph in a 45-mph zone wasn't bad enough, it was the contents of the vehicle's glove box that really caused the trouble, according to police.

Malcolm Jerome Wilson of Emmaus was pulled over for speeding at 2:24 a.m. Feb. 17 at Route 222 and Krocks Road in Lower Macungie Township, said state police at Fogelsville. Asked to produce driver's information, a plactic bag containing suspected marijuana came into plain view in the open glove box.

The substance was identified as marijuana following a field test, police said. And, the weight of the substance was about 0.8 grams.
