Feces Delivered in Lower Macungie Mailbox, Police Say

Whether a Halloween prank, revenge or random criminal mischief, the act has an air of annoyance.

There was a trick but no treat to what might be presumed to a pre-Halloween prank played recently at a home in Lower Macungie Township.

Either that . . . or the resident really annoyed somebody.

According to state police at Fogelsville, a 36-year-old resident of Chablis Drive reported that he arrived home to find feces inside his mailbox. No word on whether it was sent special delivery or Parcel Post.

The homeowner estimated the incident occurred between 9 p.m. Oct. 5 and noon on Oct. 6, police said. The incident was classified as criminal mischief.

Police ask that anyone with information call them at 610-395-1438.

I don't agree with the author trying to inject humor into this article. I don't think there's anything funny about it - especially the comment that suggests the homeowner "annoyed" someone. No one deserves to have their property vandalized.

Agree, just report the facts. This was not an editorial

The author did leave out some detail, was it dog, cat or human feces or did some wild animal get into the box somehow and someone wasted the state police time?

Personally unless human, it is a waste of time anyway. We had our mailbox knocked off of the post that held it and you could see it was hit by an object, so we went to a store and paid about 20 or 30 dollars for another box and let police fight real crime. Alos in lower macungie township at the time.

For the record, police weren't specific.
