Fire Company:  Danner has been a firefighter with the for six months, after serving five years coming with the Vera Cruz Fire Company.

Training so far:  “I am trained in vehicle rescue, essentials (interior firefighting and exterior firefighting), EMT (emergency medical training) and more.  We are training in something.”

What's it like being a firefighter?  “I enjoy it. I got into firefighting and rescue after my father was injured in a tractor accident. When I saw what they [rescue personnel] did to help him, it made me want to do it, too.”

How do your loved ones feel about you putting your life in danger? 
“They are very supportive of me.” 

Tell us a story you'll never forget about your firefighting experience.  “I don’t have any stories, yet.”

What would you tell people interested in joining your fire company?  “I would tell them to join the fire department.  We need the help and it’s like gaining a second family.”
