Tell us a story you'll never forget about your firefighting experience.  “While I was with the Washington Fire Company, I helped with the Conshohocken Fire of Aug. 13, 2008.  There was a quarter mile of apartments and condominiums that were under construction on fire.  Fortunately, no one was occupying them yet, so no one got hurt.  We were the first truck to respond and stayed for 13 hours until the fire was out.  I also helped with the clean up that lasted for weeks afterward.”

What would you tell people interested in joining your fire company?  “There is a lot of training involved.  There are a lot of things you need to know before fighting a fire.”
