Four Find Theft of Baby Formula Isn't Child's Play in Lower Mac

Police say they conspired in unsuccessful attempt to take nearly $1,000 in goods from Wal-Mart.

Four people from the Allentown area worked to distract a clerk and attempted to leave the store Dec. 15 without paying for $962 worth of items, according to police.

Primary among the items was $580 worth of baby formula, according to . The four also attempted to get away with $381 worth of additional items for a total of $962.

The following were charged, according to police: Megan White, 27; Donell Brockington, 57; Tanya Tankson, 42, and Latrice Tankson, 24.

The four conspired to distract a checkout clerk whle bagging items that were not paid, police said. After bagging the items, they attempted to leave the store at 1091 Mill Creek Road but were stopped by loss prevention. The four were arrested and charged with retail theft.

Charged: Kriss Marie Bozilesky, no age given, Dec. 11 with harassment; a verbal argument in the 5600 block of Green Drive escalated to unspecified physical contact, police said; an ambulance was called to take the victim to a hospital for evaluation of an injury.

Charged: William Sebastian Ramos, no age given, of the 100 block of E. Main Street, Macungie, Dec. 9 with harassment; struck Brittany Nichols, unspecified age, in the mouth with the back of his hand at 7417 Iron Drive, police said.

Charged: Mathew Henzler, no age given, Nov. 22 with furnishing alcohol to minors; gave a 17-year-old female alcohol at 1520 Butternut Lane, police said.

Access device fraud: Reported by Elizabeth Mattis of 2705 Rolling Green Drive; Nov. 28 after her credit card was used to make a fraudulent purchase, police said; no value given.

Charged: Stephanie Kao, no age or address given; Dec. 8 with retail theft at Wal-mart, 1091 Mill Creek Road; Kao removed merchandise from the store without paying, police said; $94 value.
