Police Find Gun at Scene of Crash

Police say gun owner also had an active Protection-from-Abuse order.

It's an unusual day when being involved in a traffic accident is the least of your problems, but that was the case recently for a Northampton man.

Troy Zepp, 32, was in a collision at 2:40 p.m. Jan. 27 at the at 1091 Mill Creek Road in Lower Macungie Township, according to. But, when police arrived to investigate the accident, they noticed that Zepp had a gun in his vehicle, and he had an active Protection-from-Abuse Order against him.

Zepp was arrested and charged with contempt for violation of an order or agreement, police said.
