'Fecal Matter' in Burning Bag, Eggs Thrown at Lower Mac Home, Police Say

State police probing 'criminal mischief' during recent holiday weekend.

State police are investigating what might be called two "odoriferous"—and in one case potentially dangerous—acts of criminal mischief in Lower Macungie during the weekend between Christmas and New Year's Day.

Around 7:25 p.m. Dec. 28, mischief-makers ignited a paper bag containing "suspected fecal matter" on the porch of a home on the 2300 block of Aberdeen Way in the Hidden Valley Farms development.

State police said that after igniting the bag, the culprit or culprits rang the home's doorbell and ran away. A resident opened the door and watched the bag burn on the porch, police said.

The Lower Macungie Fire Dept. was dispatched and put out the fire. State police also responded.

The second case occurred about six and a half hours later in another part of the township—on the 2300 block of Silvano Drive in the Farmington Hills development.

The homeowner said "three whole eggs" were thrown at an exterior window around 2 a.m. Dec. 29.

Police did not say if the two cases may be related.

State police ask that anyone with information call them at 610-395-1438.
