Log Splitter Wheeled From Lower Mac Yard, Police Say

State troopers say the $1,500 device was wheeled across several nearby yards in Macungie, but need help in tracking its whereabouts.

State police at Fogelsville are hoping that the industrious-looking person who was toting a log splitter across some backyards of Ridings Circle in Macungie this weekend impressed some neighbors.

So is Michael J. Weber Jr.

They're all hoping that the act was impressive enough to be memorable and that a witness can tell them who stole the log splitter that Weber had at his home at 3113 Sequoia Drive not far away in Lower Macungie Township.

The log splitter was taken either Saturday or Sunday, police said. It was taken from the victim's backyard and wheeled across several backyards in The Ridings housing development. Police were not specific as to how they knew, but it's likely that tracks were left behind.

The splitter was described as black or grey, vertical and a Huskee brand with a model number of 21-53605, police said. It has a value of $1,500.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 610-395-1438.
