Lower Macungie Crash Reportedly Injures Pair

Vehicle left Brookside Road, striking utility pole and trees, according to emergency radio transmissions.

Two people were injured Thursday night -- one potentially seriously -- when their vehicle went off Brookside Road and onto the perimeter of , according to emergency radio transmissions.

The vehicle went off the roadway about 10:35 p.m., hit a utility pole and then some trees, according to transmissions. The accident occurred in the area across from the at 3450 Brookside Road.

The driver, likely the most seriously injured, received cuts, transmissions said. An ambulance from was called.

Another ambulance from was called to tend to the passenger, who was initially said to be walking after the accident and talking on a cell phone to family members. He eventually complained of back and jaw pain.
