Burglary, Theft, Mischief Reported in Lower Macungie

State police at Fogelsville release recent activity.

Attempted burglary: Reported Oct. 15 at Tyler Pipe Co., 3550 Brookside Road; holes cut in window screens on main building, but no entry gained, police said.

Found: Wallet on Route 100 Nov. 14 near Weis Market, police said; no mention of contents of the wallet.

Theft: Reported Oct. 14 by Elizabeth Cohen at 1790 Maplewood Drive; victim's closet entered and lock broken on cabinet to remove two bottles of Oxycodone, police said.

Criminal mischief: Reported Nov. 8 by melissa Sue Kleckner, 30, in the 5600 block of N. Walnut St.; length of 2007 Chrysler Aspen parked in driveway scratched with sharp object, police said; no value given.

Theft from motor vehicle: Reported Nov. 9 by David Joh Fried on Pembrooke Road; black North Face jacket taken from unlocked vehicle parked in driveway, police said; no value given.

Hit-and-run accident: Reported Nov. 10 at 5025 Lower Macungie Road; black or blue Ford F-150 crossed center line and struck guard rail; unknown driver left the scene, police said; pickup truck likely to have damage to front end and driver's side; call police at 610-395-1438 with information.

Sought for retail theft: Iris Bennighen of Allentown; left , 3369 Route 100, Nov. 12 without paying for several items, police said.

Charged: Joshua David Deprill, 23, unspecified address; left 1091 Millcreek Road Nov. 12 without paying for $63.43 in merchandise, police said; issued non-traffic citation.

Identity theft: Reported by Timothy Houpt, 56, of 7081 Tuscany Drive; three credit card accounts opened using the victim's identity since June 1, police said; no detail of resulting financial loss.
