Lower Macungie Woman is Subject of Two Police Reports

She is listed in hit-run accident and harassment incident, police say.

A Lower Macungie Township woman had an eventful night recently, prompting two police reports, according to .

First, Alysha Marie Balls, 23, of 6714 Lower Macungie Road, was involved in a hit-and-run accident about 1:30 a.m. June 15, police said. They said she was uninjured in the crash at Hamilton Boulevard south of Millcreek Road when her 2005 Ford Escape hit a guide rail, tree and road sign. They said she left the scene without making a report.

Then, at 3:59 a.m., police said they were called to 6714 Lower Macungie Road, Apt. J1, for a report of a domestic dispute. Balls struck an unnamed 23-year-old female in the face at that location at 3:33 a.m. and left the scene. Balls has been cited for harassment.

At some point, police said they learned that Balls' vehicle had passenger front-end side damage and a flat passenger side tire. They  believed the vehicle was the one involved in the earlier crash. Balls was charged with careless driving, failing to stay in her lane, driving at an unsafe speed and failing to notify police of the accident.
