Man Charged in $2,570 Jewelry Theft in Lower Mac
State police say he lived with the 52-year-old female victim.
Police say they didn't have far to look to catch a thief when a Lower Macungie Township woman recently reported $2,570 worth of missing jewelry.
The culprit lived right under the same roof as Erin Reid Single, 52, of 1170 Grange Road, Lot R2, according to . Daniel James Kanya, 20, took several jewelry items while he lived with Single, police said.
Kanya was charged with theft, according to police. Despite police listing Perkasie, Bucks County, as Kanya's home, they say he lived with Single for a time, but they did not state their relationship.

Kanya took items including several chains, gold pendants and gold hoop earrings from Single's bedroom, police said. The items were taken between Aug. 25 and 31.
