Man in Reflective Vest Killed by Hit-Run Driver in L. Mac: Police

A 36-year-old Bethlehem man wearing a reflective safety vest and dark-colored clothes was killed Friday night in a hit-and-run crash on Route 222 southbound near Kressler Road in Lower Macungie, state police at Fogelsville said.
Michael J. Mason was found lying on the shoulder of Route 222 with severe injuries by a passing motorist, police said.
He died as a result of the injuries, police said.
Police said the incident happened between 6:45 p.m. and 7:54 p.m.
State police and the Lehigh County coroner's office are investigating.
