A 29-year-old employee of the turned himself into police after robbing two bags of money worth $1,390 and a set of keys.
According to the criminal complaint obtained by Patch, Nickelas D. Reznick, of Upper Macungie, admitted using his set of work keys Saturday night to take two bags of money from the car wash at 5627 Tilghman Street.
The criminal complaint states the burglary was reported to Berks-Lehigh Regional Police Sunday morning by Jill and Martin Kuhns. Surveillance cameras showed that Reznick entered the building at 11:24 p.m., and as a manager, he had a key to the premises.
Both Jill and Martin Kuhns confirmed Reznick knew the alarm codes and the whereabouts of the bank bags.
On Sunday, Reznick turned himself into Allentown police.
Reznick, of 505 Ponds Edge Lane, was charged with burglary, criminal trespassing, theft and receiving stolen property.
He was arraigned before District Judge Wayne Maura and sent to Lehigh County Prison under $25,000 bail.
