Man Who Killed Himself in Front of Police Station Identified

The Lehigh County Coroner's Office has ruled the death of a 39-year-old Macungie man who shot himself a suicide.

The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office has released the identity of the Macungie Borough resident who killed himself in front of the police station early Monday morning.

Thomas Costello, 39, of 100 East Main St., shot himself at about 1:59 a.m. on July 1, according to the Lehigh County Coroner.

He was pronounced dead at Lehigh Valley Hospital at 2:44 a.m. The manner of death was ruled a suicide.
