Fire Company: David has been volunteering for the for six years — since the age of 16.
Training: “I have all the basic training and essentials. I have also gone through the training for fire police.”
Describe your job with the fire company. “I am the fire police lieutenant. When we are called to the scene of an accident or a fire, we basically direct the traffic. Sometimes people argue and don’t want to do as we direct them, though. In that case, we call the police and let them handle it.”
How do your loved ones feel about you putting your life in danger? “They are very supportive of what I do.”
Tell us a story you'll never forget about your firefighting experience. “I don’t really have any experiences yet. I haven’t been involved that long and the fire police doesn’t generate many stories.”
What would you tell people interested in joining your fire company? “It’s a good experience and something fun to do.”
