Multiple Items Stolen from 2 Vehicles Outside Hotel
Thefts occur during early-morning hours Friday at Wingate by Wyndham in Lower Macungie, police say.
A thief or thieves broke into two vehicles parked outside a Lower Macungie hotel early Friday and took multiple items, police said.
The vehicles were at the Wingate by Wyndham hotel, 4325 Hamilton Blvd. The thefts occurred between 12:01am and 7:49am, state police said.
One vehicle is owned by a Milwaukee, Wis., resident, while the other was a rental vehicle belonging to a resident of Cleveland, Tenn. The vehicle was rented in Knoxville, which is about 100 miles northeast of Cleveland.
Police said the thief or thieves broke windows to get into the vehicles, rummaged through their interiors and took "multiple items." The thief or thieves fled in an unknown direction and by an unknown means.
