PennDOT Lists County Roads Still Closed By Hurricane Sandy

Closed roads resulting from downed power lines and branches force detours.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation released the following list of roads in Lehigh County that were closed as of 11 a.m. Wednesday because of Hurricane Sandy-related damage:

  •  Brookdale Road between Mertztown and Elm roads in Lower Macungie Township is closed due to a downed utility;
  •  Churchview Road between Vera Cruz and Faith roads in Upper Milford Township is closed due to a downed utility;
  •  PA 100 north between US 222 and Industrial Boulevard in Upper Macungie Township is closed due to a downed utility;
  •  Vera Cruz Road between 13th Street and Delong Avenue in Emmaus Borough is closed due to a downed tree in utility wires;
  •  Main Road between German Road and Milford Lane in Upper Milford Township is closed due to downed trees in utility wires;
  •  Powder Valley Road between Palm Road in Lower Milford Township and Sell Road in Upper Milford Township is closed due to a downed utility;
  •  US 222 north between Grim and Mill Creek roads in Upper Macungie Township is closed due to a downed utility;
  •  PA 378 between Landis Mill and Spring Valley roads in Upper Saucon Township is closed due to a downed tree in utility wires;
  •  Emmaus Avenue  between State Mack Boulevard in Allentown City and Chapel Road in Salisbury Township is closed due to a downed utility;
  •  West State Street/Station Avenue between Magargee Lane and the Bucks County Line in Upper Saucon Township is closed due to a downed tree in utility wires;
  •  Limeport Pike between Chestnut Hill Church Road and Leh Street in Lower Milford Township is closed due to a downed utility;
  •  Limeport Pike between Corning and Powder Valley roads in Lower Milford Township is closed due to a downed tree in utility wires;  
  •  Zionsville Road between Dillingersville and Elementary roads in Lower Milford Township is closed due to downed trees in utility wires;
  •  Zionsville Road between Kings Highway and School House Lane in Lower Milford Township is closed due to downed trees in utility wires;
  •  Weyhill Drive between Landis Mill road and Station Avenue in Upper Saucon Township is closed due to downed trees and utility wires;
  •  Chestnut Hill Church Road between Limeport and Churchview roads in Lower Milford Township is closed due to downed trees in utility wires;
  •  Spring Valley Road between Landis Mill Road and Washington Lane in Upper Saucon Township is closed due to a downed tree and utility;
  •  Steinsburg Road between Bell Gate and Crested roads in Lower Milford Township is closed due to a downed utility;
  • Oakhurst Drive between Stonesthrow Road and Old Bethlehem Pike in Upper Saucon Township is closed due to a downed utility;
  •  Lanark Road between Blue Church Road and Spring Drive in Upper Saucon Township is closed due to a downed tree in utility wires;
  •  Landis Mill Road is closed between PA 378 and Station Avenue in Upper Saucon Township due to downed trees on wires;
  •  Camp Meeting Road between Saucon Avenue and Bay Hill Drive in Upper Saucon Township is closed due to a downed utility;
  •  Stonesthrow Road between Oakhurst Drive and Honeysuckle Road in Upper Saucon Township is closed due to downed trees in utility wires;
  •  Church/Stonesthrow Road between Honeysuckle and Church roads in Upper Saucon Township is closed due to a downed tree in utility wires;
  •  Honeysuckle Road between Black River Road and Emmaus Avenue in Salisbury Township is closed due to a downed utility;
  • New Smithfield Road between Old Route 22 and Loghouse Road in Weisenberg Township is closed due to downed tree on utility wires;
  •  Ziegels Church Road between Weiss Road in Upper Macungie Township and Old Route 22 in Weisenberg Township is closed due to a downed utility;
  •  Jordan Road between PA 309 and Huckleberry Road in South Whitehall Township is closed due to downed tree in utility wires;
  •  Neffs Laurys Road between Scheidys and Riverview roads in North Whitehall Township is closed due to a downed utility;
  •  Mountain Road between Borman Road in Lynn Township and Reservoir Road in Heidelberg Township is closed due to a downed utility;
  •  Memorial Road between Hawk View and Bake Oven roads in Heidelberg Township is closed due to a downed tree in utility wires;
  •  Hawk View Road between Memorial and Mountain roads in Heidelberg Township is closed due to a downed tree in utility wires;
  •  PA 143 between Allemaengel Road and Lynn Street in Lynn Township is closed due to a downed tree in utility wires;
  •  Schochary Road between Kistler Valley and Sechler roads in Lynn Township is closed due to a downed utility; and
  •  Allemaengel Road between Kings Highway/Levans Road and Donats Peak Road in Lynn Township is closed due to a downed tree in utility wires.
