Pickup Truck Sought in Hit-Run Crash, Police Say

No one was injured in four-vehicle, chain-reaction accident in Lower Macungie Township, troopers report.

Troopers are looking for the driver of a black 1997 Dodge Dakota pickup truck following a recent hit-and-run accident in Lower Macungie Township, police said.

The crash occurred at 5:50 p.m. Feb. 15 at Lower Macungie and Millrace roads, according to state police at Fogelsville.

Behind Wetherhold was Emily Jolley, 18, of Emmaus, police said. And, the pickup truck driven by the unkown hit-and-run driver was bringing up the rear.

The pickup truck could not stop in time to avoid hitting the car driven by Jolley, police said. That set off a chain-reaction crash of all four vehicles.

Despite receiving severe front-end damage, police said the pickup truck driver did not stop at the scene. Jolley's car received disabling rear-end damage and Wetherhold's car sustained disabling front-end damage. Those two vehicles were towed.

Davies' car received rear-end damage but could be driven away, police said.

The pickup truck was last seen driving south on Millrace Road, police said. The grille assembly was missing. The driver was described as a middle-age man with short brown hair. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 610-395-1438.
