Police Blotter: Wal-mart is a busy place

...Both in and out of the store.

State Police at Fogelsville have recently responded to no fewer than six calls to the Wal-mart in Lower Macungie Township:

* Shaun Michael Brown, 22, of Allentown, was arrested for retail theft and fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer on Feb. 21. Police said he attempted to steal $737.29 worth of merchandise from Wal-mart. After a brief pursuit, Brown was taken in to custody, charged and taken to Lehigh County Central Booking for arraignment.

* Brenda S. Nieves-Castro, 41, of Macungie, was charged with harassment Feb. 13 after police said she struck Megan B. Booker, 26, of Macungie, in the face in the Wal-mart parking lot after Nieves-Castro accused Booker of taking her parking spot.

* Renee Hicks, 44, Stacy Gregory, 33, and Tyesha Pooler, 34, all of Allentown, were charged with harassment Feb. 10 after police said they became involved in a verbal argument inside the Wal-mart store that resulted in Hicks making physical contact with Pooler after which Pooler and Gregory struck Hicks with their hands.

* Theft by deception was committed by an unknown person recently when Phallentz Michel of Macungie met the unknown buyer who had agreed to purchase an X-Box Kinect gaming system from Michel on Craigslist.com. The buyer agreed to meet Michel in the Wal-mart parking lot, then paid with counterfeit twenty-dollar bills and fled, police said.

* Derrick Nielsen of Macungie was charged with harassment Feb. 18 after police say he punched an unnamed underage victim, also from Macungie, in the face in the Wal-mart parking lot after a disagreement.

* Sachaa Mims, 19, and Andrew Pizolato, 21, both of Center Valley were charged with retail theft from Wal-mart in District Court 31-3-02 on Feb. 22.

Also,

* Nicole Pudvah of Macungie, told police her credit card information was obtained by an unknown person via unknown means who then used it to purchase items in South Carolina. Police continue to investigate.

* Donald Lyle Flores II of 6852 Sunflower Lane in Lower Macungie reported that an unknown person opened a Comcast Cable account using his identity, then used $6,722.82 in services from Comcast without paying. Anyone with information should call State Police at 610-395-1438.

* Ethan Alerfer, 18, of Alburtis, and Gabrielle Riley, 18, of Macungie, were charged with harassment in District Court 31-3-02 on Feb. 23 after police said Alderfer grabbed, shoved and scratched Riley. Riley then punched Alderfer in the arm and scratched his arm, police said.

* Anthony Leonard Fucci Jr. of the 7700 block of Scenic View Drive in Lower Macungie reported  that the side rear window of his vehicle was damaged by an unknown object. Anyone with information should call State Police at 610-395-1438.

* James Martin, 23, of the 600 block of North Main Street, Allentown, was charged with DUI Feb. 13 at Krocks and Country Club roads in Lower Macungie after police stopped him for a stop sign violation. After exhibiting signs of impairment, police arrested him.
