Police: Credit Card Thievery Has International Flavor
State police say $69.01 in unauthorized purchases traced to Australia, Sweden; Lower Macungie resident is victim.
A credit card thief or thieves covered a lot of the world's territory by making $69.01 in unauthorized transactions traced to Melbourne, Australia and Stockholm, Sweden.
A state police fax says the five transactions occurred last Monday night (Jan. 13) with the card of a Brookside Road resident.
In addition to tracing the location of the transactions, police found that such websites as minecraft.net and satvps.com were used, the fax says.
State police continue to investigate the incident.
