Police: Two More Air-Conditioners Shoplifted from Wal-Mart

Several accounts in recent months have listed arrests of shoppers for some pretty daring alleged attempts at retail theft at Wal-Mart in Lower Macungie Township.

The came June 12 when an Allentown woman grabbed several televisions, laptops and other items valued at $2,011.71, according to We're not talking about a few items that could be slipped into a purse and valued at a few dollars here. We're talking bulky, big-boxed stuff.

But a recent big-ticket-item shoplifter apparently slipped through security unnoticed until it was too late. According to police, one cool customer -- even cooler now -- snatched two air-conditioners valued at $326.42 and just kept going without getting caught at 4:55 p.m. June 26. No description of the shoplifter or a vehicle was listed.
