Police Seek 'Scrooge' Who Cut 40 Strands of Christmas Lights

'Criminal mischief' occurs on 7000 block of Periwinkle Drive in Farmington Hills, state police say.

In an act that might make Ebenezer Scrooge proud, someone cut 40 strands of Christmas lights outside a residence in Lower Macungie's Farmington Hills development, police said.

The "criminal mischief" occurred in the early hours of Monday sometime before 6am, a state police at Fogelsville fax says.

The fax identifies the victim as a 67-year-old woman living on the 7000 block of Periwinkle Drive. Whoever cut the lights fled in an unknown direction.

The fax does not list a dollar value of the cut lights.

Anyone with information is asked to call Trooper Matthew Tonitis at 610-395-1438.
