Police: Woman Accused in Early-Morning Theft Also Possessed Heroin

State police say alleged theft at Lower Macungie Walmart occurred around 5:30 a.m.

An Easton woman suspected of stealing several items at the Lower Macungie Walmart at 5:30 Monday morning also was found to possess heroin, state police say.

Lana Nicole Dimmig, 25, was arraigned later in the morning on charges of heroin possession, retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to online court records.

District Judge Michael Faulkner of Upper Macungie committed her to Lehigh County Prison in lieu of $7,500 bail, the records say.

A state police fax says Dimmig was observed stealing several pieces of merchandise from the Walmart on Mill Creek Road around 5:38 a.m. After being taken into custody, authorities found heroin in her possession, the fax says.
