Should controversial eastern Pennsylvania Police Chief Mark Kessler be fired?

An eastern Pennsylvania police chief known for firing guns and postingpolitical rants on YouTube is a step closer to getting fired, according to a WFMZ report.

Gilberton Borough Council in Schuylkill County voted Thursday to suspend Police Chief Mark Kessler pending termination.

Kessler has made headlines nationally for his outspoken pro-gun, anti-liberal views. 

Council has accused Kessler of misusing borough property and other infractions.

Gilberton is about 55 miles northwest of Allentown.
