State Police Investigating Bank Account Fraud
State police say withdrawal left account with negative balance; account holder lives in Lower Macungie.
State police are investigating a case in which someone "fraudulently deposited" money into the bank account of a Lower Macungie resident then made a withdrawal from the account, leaving it with a negative balance.
A fax from state police at Fogelsville said the account holder lives on the 3700 block of Notch Street. The incident occurred between Nov. 14 and Nov. 18, the fax said.
State police labeled the case "theft-fraud and forgery."
The fax said an investigation is continuing but no other information was provided.
