State Police Release Lower Macungie Incidents

released the following recent incidents in Lower Macungie Township:

Identity theft: Reported July 16 by 85-year-old resident of Pine Grove Circle; unauthorized $5,000 withdrawal from bank account discovered by caregiver of victim, police said.

Simple assault/harassment: Reported July 24 by Annete Galletti-Castillo, 34, of 4866 Liberty Lane; police said they responded to a domestic incident between husband and wife involving a knife; Lesandro Perez, 38, allegedly punched Galletti-Catillo in the face; charges filed with Magisterial District Judge Charles Crawford.

Access device fraud: Reported July 30 by Ashley Thompson of the 2000 block of Elbow Lane; four Internet purchases total $473 using her credit card, police said.

Theft from motor vehicle: Reported Aug. 4 by three residents of the 6000 block of Hunt Drive; Sirius radio and several lesser items taken, police said.

Hit and run: Reported July 30 at Hamilton Boulevard and Mill Creek Road at 9:48 p.m.; Penelope L. Oulds, 50, of Mertztown and an unknown driver collided; both pulled over, but other driver pulled away after saying he did not see damage to his vehicle, police said; newer model white or gold pickup truck with a cap that may have minor driver's side damage.

Charged: Estefan D. Ocasio, 19, of Macungie; Aug. 4 with driving at an unsafe speed after an accident at Willow Lane at Mill Creek Spur; Ocasio lost control on wet roadway and struck vehicle driven by Lillian V. Decker, 47, of Allentown, police said; no injuries reported.

Motor vehicle accident: Scott R. Bieber, 58, injured in three-car accident July 31 at Route 222 and Kressler Road; vehicle driven by Julio A. Stuart, 19, of Macungie turned in front of Bieber's vehicle; Bieber's vehicle hit Stuart's, sending Stuart's vehicle into that of Tiffany A. Bentson, 29, of Allentown; Bieber and his wife, Susan, 54,  transported to hospital; Stuart cited for failing to obey traffic control  devices, police said.
