Thieves Take Almost $10,000 Worth of Scrap Metal

Metal posts snatched from Lower Mac business valued at $9,900, police say.

The scrap metal thefts continue throughout the area, with thieves this time making off with posts valued at $9,920 from a Lower Macungie Township business, according to police.

Workers from Allan A. Myers Pre Fab Shop at 7662 Alburtis Road reported items missing between 2 p.m. April 3 and 6 a.m. April 4, according to . Among the items reported missing were various posts, beams, overhang brackets and scrap metal.

Police say there are no known wintesses; however, anyone who might have seen suspicious activity at the location is asked to call state police at 610-395-1438.
