Too Much of a Good Thing

Heavy rain that continued throughout Thursday swelled streams that overflowed into fields and, in some cases, onto roadways in the Macungie and Lower Macungie Township area.

While the rain has stopped, streams continue to rush rapidly and in a few areas, such as along Spring Creek Road, Willow Lane and Brookside Road, simply took over portions of nearby fields Spring Creek Road again was closed as water leapt the creek banks and flooded the roadway.

Fortunately, the Nation Weather Service is predicting a dry weekend with high temperatures around 50.
