Teens Steal Purse from Woman's Shopping Cart, Police Say
Theft apparently occurred Thursday afternoon at the Lower Macungie Walmart.
Two teens stole a woman's purse from her shopping cart Thursday afternoon, ran out of the store, hopped into a car and drove away, police say.
The theft apparently occurred at the Walmart at 1091 Mill Creek Road in Lower Macungie.
A state police fax includes the store address but not the store name. 1091 Mill Creek is Walmart's address, but it's also the address of other nearby stores.
The victim was a 29-year-old woman with an Allentown address, the fax says. But it does not say how much money or what other items were in the purse. The theft occurred at 5:52 p.m.
The fax describes the thieves as 16-18-year-old males. One wore dark jeans and a dark jacket. A clothing description for the other teen was not listed.
The teens were last seen getting into an older model black Saturn sedan and driving out of the parking lot.
