Upper Macungie Police Station is Open

Upper Macungie's new chief and two lieutenants are sworn in and the new police station on Grim Road is open.

The new Upper Macungie police station opened Monday as new chief, Lt. Joe Wilson and Lt. Mike Sitoski were sworn into duty.

The ceremony took place at the new Upper Macungie police station at 37 Grim Road in Breinigsville.

The Aug. 20 opening, which was mandated by Upper Macungie supervisors, allows the chief and his two lieutenants to begin work in the department, which officially opens for business at midnight Dec. 31, 2012.
