Walmart Shoplifter Chased by Night Manager, Police Say

Alleged shoplifter wheeled cart full of $464 in merchandise out of Lower Macungie Walmart, according to state police.

An Allentown man abandoned a shopping cart full of stolen goods in the parking lot of the Lower Macungie Walmart early Sunday morning, after being chased by a Walmart night manager, according to Pennsylvania State Police, Fogelsville.

Todd Allen Heiserman, of Allentown, has been identified by police as the shoplifter and charged with retail theft, and is now in Lehigh County Prison, police say.

According to police, Heiserman pushed a shopping cart out of the 1091 Mill Creek Road store at about 12:30 Sunday morning without paying for about $464 in merchandise and was chased by the night manager. Heiserman then allegedly fled the Walmart parking lot on foot, leaving behind the shopping cart.

Police investigation later located Heiserman and he was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Lehigh County Probation.
