Wescosville Man is Victim of Smash-and-Drive Incident, Police Say
He called state police after being 'rammed' on Route 22; Easton driver is charged, troopers report.
A Wescosville man had a more interesting ride the morning of Sept. 24 than he anticipated as he drove Route 22 in Whitehall Township and beyond.
Andre Boyle, 24, was driving in the passing lane of the Thruway around 9 a.m. when he was passed on the right by an Easton man, police said. That other driver, Robert Napoli, 65, next intentionally swerved his Toyota truck and struck Boyle's Chevrolet near Route 145 in Whitehall.
The two drivers continued west on Route 22 while Boyle called Pennsylvania State Police. The two drivers stopped in the area of southbound Interstate 78 and Route 100, police said, although they were not specific as to whether police played any role in that. One might guess.

Napoli will be charged with recklessly endangering another person and simple assault, police said.
There was no motive as to whether road rage from some driving incident or something else touched off the alleged incident.
