Woman Charged With Taking Cash From Purses at Church

Officials say woman was stealing money during Sunday services at borough church.

A Macungie woman may get points from above for regular church attendance, but there are likely to be some demerits for what she took away from church services, according to borough police.

Karen Kehm, 50, of W. Main Street is accused of taking money from purses during several services between December and February, police said. Kehm attended at 28 W. Main St.

did not estimate a total amount they say Kehm stole from parishioners. Charges were filed through Magisterial District Judge Donna Butler's office in Emmaus.
